Guadalajara, Guadalajara, April 17, 2024 - DAS Solar showcased its high-efficiency N-type rectangular bifacial double-glass modules series and lightweight modules series modules at the SOLAR+SIORAGE MEXICO in the Guadalajara Expo Centre from April 17 to 19, 2024. Focused on solar, energy storage, SOLAR+SIORAGE MEXICO is an ideal platform for solution providers and green energy companies to enter the rapidly expanding Mexico market.
With an average solar radiation of 5 kilowatt-hours per square meter, Mexico benefits from its location near the equator as one of Latin America's major economies. There are approximately 5.5 hours of direct sunlight daily in Mexico. According to data released by the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission, the newly installed capacity for Mexico's photovoltaic power generation is expected to reach a gigawatt by 2024.
DAS Solar brings its latest products at the Mexico exhibition, including the N-type bifacial double-glass 615W rectangular module, 465W DAS Black N-type rectangular modules and the 475W lightweight half-cell module. Designed with optimal dimensions, DAS Solar N-type rectangular modules offer benefits in efficiency, power output, manufacturing, processes, and transportation, resulting in lower system BOS costs and lower LCOE. Through continuous scientific and technological innovation, DAS Solar has broken world records 3 times for photovoltaic efficiency in 8 months in 2023. Equipped with DAS Solar's cutting-edge TOPCon 4.0 plus cell technology, DAS Solar's average mass production efficiency has reached 26.55%. In addition, they offer advantages such as high efficiency, low manufacturing costs, high stability, and long product lifecycle.
It is estimated that rooftop photovoltaic installations account for over 90% of the residential market in Mexico. The DAS Black rectangular modules, designed for rooftop applications, captured significant attention and acclaim at the exhibition. Moreover, DAS Solar lightweight half-cell modules are particularly useful for rooftop projects with limited load bearing capacity. The module's front surface encapsulation is optimized with composite materials, resulting in a weight reduction of more than 70% compared to modules with the same power output. With a tile-like metal composite backsheet design, it is highly resistant to deformation and possesses excellent heat dissipation, so it can generate power safely and efficiently. With a working temperature as low as approximately 43° C, it effectively enhances module power generation efficiency. Installation costs are dramatically reduced thanks to its ease of installation and portability. Additionally, it performs exceptionally well under weak lighting conditions.
China is Mexico's second-largest trading partner, maintaining a deep and close partnership in the photovoltaic field. To gain access to the North American market, DAS Solar's rectangular N-type modules recently received UL certifications 61215 and 61730. This achievement demonstrates DAS Solar's innovative capabilities in supporting high-quality, high-performance, and high-safety photovoltaic products. In 2024, DAS Solar shipped its first batch of rectangular N-type modules to Mexico, marking the beginning of the footprint in Mexico. DAS Solar will actively support the local distribution market in the application of green energy as one of the earliest manufacturers to introduce rectangular silicon wafer modules to the Mexican market.
