Recently, DAS Solar's manufacturing bases in Quzhou, Taizhou, Zhangzhou, and Bengbu successfully passed ISO-14064 greenhouse gas emissions verification by TÜV SÜD. The achievement demonstrates the company's commitment to promoting sustainable development globally and highlights its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product lifecycle.
The ISO-14064 standard for greenhouse gas emissions, issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), provides the best international framework for managing, reporting, and verifying greenhouse gas emissions data. Providing organizations with a unified methodology for quantifying, monitoring, reporting, and verifying greenhouse gas emissions and reductions, it represents the highest and most comprehensive standard in international greenhouse gas emission verification.
The greenhouse gas emissions verification of DAS Solar's 4 major manufacturing bases was based on ISO 14064-1:2018 and ISO 14064-3:2019 standards, which cover both direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions. Based on the verification results, the greenhouse gas emissions intensity at Quzhou, Taizhou, Zhangzhou, and Bengbu production bases decreased significantly in 2023. It reflects the company's outstanding achievements in energy management and emission reduction, as well as its commitment to green manufacturing and carbon neutrality.
As a leading top-tier PV company, DAS Solar is committed to low carbon and sustainable development principles in the "net zero" goal. The company produces eco-friendly products, delivers green power, reduces energy consumption, and effectively advances carbon neutrality by continuously optimizing energy structure, implementing energy-saving and carbon reduction measures, improving process technology, and increasing the use of green energy in production operations. Furthermore, DAS Solar consistently enhances product iterations and fosters innovation. The company integrates green and low-carbon concepts into product design and development, emphasizing sustainable practices throughout the entire product lifecycle, including production, management, packaging, logistics, and recycling.
By 2023, DAS Solar's manufacturing bases have reduced unit product energy consumption by 2%, with green electricity usage accounting for over 20% of the group's total energy consumption (based on the 2023 production scale and distributed photovoltaic installations). By 2024, the Zhangzhou base is expected to become the first zero-carbon factory. By 2030, all manufacturing bases aim to achieve peak carbon emissions, and by 2050, complete carbon neutrality. Through these practical actions, the company is actively promoting green and sustainable development.
In addition to practicing green manufacturing and protecting the environment, DAS Solar leverages its position as a leading enterprise to enhance communication and collaboration with upstream and downstream suppliers. As part of its efforts to coordinate the development and green upgrading of the photovoltaic industry chain, DAS Solar established the "Green Supply Chain Industry Alliance" in 2023 with nearly 50 PV companies. The company has consistently been ranked as a "Best ESG Performing" by PV-Tech for its outstanding achievements in green supply chain management, and has also been listed on the Venture 50 for several years.
In receiving the greenhouse gas emission verification certification, DAS Solar has demonstrated its commitment to promoting sustainable development and environmental practices for many years. Furthermore, the certification provides the company with robust data support for implementing its sustainable development strategy and enhancing its carbon management capabilities.
