Tokyo, February 28, 2024 - DAS Solar, as one of the top-tier PV manufacturers, showcased its latest N-type rectangular and lightweight modules, catering to diverse needs and scenarios, at PV Expo 2024.
PV Expo is one of the largest and most influential international renewable energy industry exhibitions in Japan and the Asian region. According to relevant data, approximately 14%-16% of Japan's total power will be generated by solar power by 2030, with 117.6GW of photovoltaic capacity installed cumulatively.
Japan, where natural resources are limited, is particularly suited to N-type products because of their high efficiency, high power output, high bifaciality, and low light-induced degradation. The products displayed at this exhibition included N-type bifacial double glass 465W rectangular DAS Black modules, N-type bifacial double glass 615W rectangular modules, 430W lightweight shingle modules and 475W lightweight half-cut modules. N-type bifacial double glass 465W rectangular DAS Black module, combining rectangular dimensions and all-black design, attracted significant attention. DAS Solar is dedicated to continuous exploration and rigorous research in N-type technology, consistently surpassing industry standards in cell and module efficiency. DAS Solar has developed the TOCon 4.0 Plus high-efficiency cell that boasts an efficiency of 26.36% and an open-circuit voltage of 742mV, breaking the world record again. In the sustainable photovoltaic ecosystem, DAS Solar has jointly launched the Initiative on Standardization of Rectangular Silicon Wafer Module Dimensions with several leading industry enterprises. Designed with optimal dimensions, rectangular modules offer benefits in efficiency, power output, manufacturing, processes, and transportation, resulting in lower system BOS costs and lower LCOE. All-black design is highly suitable for residential rooftops and seamlessly integrates with aesthetics.
Using a simulated rooftop and corrugated materials, DAS Solar displayed its lightweight shingle modules and lightweight half-cut modules for a standalone presentation, so attendees could experience the product more intuitively. A lightweight module from DAS Solar with composite panels reduced weight by 60% for the same power output, facilitating easier handling and addressing roof load-bearing constraints effectively. The modules are extremely fire resistant with zero vapor permeability on the backsheet. Modules can be easily installed and detachable, which makes maintenance and repair easier. 430W lightweight shingle modules are equipped with corrugated Aluminium foil backsheets, which provide high deformation resistance and superior thermal performance, ensuring safe and efficient power generation.
At the exhibition, technical sharing sessions, presentations, and DAS Solar's "Light" finding activities at the booth attracted numerous visitors to participate in interactive segments. Booth communications and discussions allowed attendees to explore and discuss technological advancements and trends in the industry. In the future, DAS Solar is dedicated to enhancing its sales and service systems in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, continuing its research and innovation in high-efficiency N-type technology, and providing global customers with reliable assurance of long-term optimal value. DAS Solar is currently showcasing its latest products at E8-5 at Tokyo Big Sight until March 1, 2024.
